FDPS Competitions

Members of Frodsham and District Photographic Society are eligible to enter the Monthly Set Subject Competitions. There are two categories of entry, Prints and  Projected Images, with separate sections for Entry level and Advanced level members.

All prints and digital images will be examined by the competition judge during the week prior to the competition evening. This gives the judge more time to formulate his comments and should result in a more considered choice for his awards. His choices will still, of course, be personal and subjective.

This means that all entries without exception must be delivered to the competition secretary one week before the competition.

We will continue to project a digital image of each print as this has improved the experience for the majority of our membership. To make this manageable we request that printed entries are accompanied by a jpeg file for projection. (Again, full details will be made available).

It should be stressed that it will continue to be the mounted prints which are judged. The judges will not be given copies of the jpeg files.
